Getting to and parking in Downtown Springfield

Amtrak

The Amtrak Lincoln Service brings visitors to Springfield from Chicago and St. Louis, as well as many other cities. The Springfield Amtrak Station, at the corner of Jefferson Street and 3rd Street, is located less than two blocks from the Alliance office. Amtrak offers 24-hour free parking to its customers.

Hoogland Center Parking Garage

The Hoogland Arts Center has a parking garage available for the public. Parking rates are $0.75/hour or $5/day. Located at the corner of 6th Street and Capitol Avenue, it is a 10-minute walk to the Alliance office.

Municipal Parking

Municipal Parking has a multi-story parking garage on the corner of 4th and Washington Streets. With its front entrance facing the Alliance office building, it’s hard to find a better commute.
Parking is $0.75/hour or $5/day.

Springfield Downtown Parking, Inc.

Right on the same block as the Alliance, on the corner of 5th and Adams, Springfield Downtown Parking offers a quick jaunt to the Alliance office.
Parking is $0.75/hour or $4.50/day.

Parking Meters

If you’re planning on a short visit, there are many parking meters on South 5th Street, right next to the Old State Capitol, which is across the street from the Alliance office. Rates are $1/hour.

Downtown Springfield is certainly not lacking in parking. Many streets have meters, others have garages, and if you’re lucky enough, there are even some parking spaces free of charge!
